The V-Drums 7 Series opens a dynamic new chapter in the V-Drums legacy, elevating the world’s leading electronic drums with a reimagined sound module, next-generation pads, and enhanced creative tools. Our latest flagship platform gives you two ways to play: a core onboard sound library created in collaboration with Drum Workshop (DW) and DW Soundworks software for computer-based drumming. The VAD716 brings V-Drums 7 Series expressive power to a flagship V-Drums Acoustic Design kit. The PD-14DSX takes our digital snare technology to the next level with even more detailed sensing, a snare throw-off lever, and a snare tension knob. The KD-22 offers authentic looks and playability with a full-depth wood shell and an innovative drumhead-mounted sensor. This six-piece kit also features two rack toms, two floor toms, our acclaimed digital hi-hat and ride, and two 16-inch V-Cymbals.

Our V71 module launches the V-Drums sound into a new dimension of realism and creative command. The onboard drum library has been created from the ground up, with instruments never featured in any previous module. Crafted from a hand-picked selection of the world’s finest drum sets, these record-ready sounds deliver the detail, punch, and sonic quality found in the most expensive computer collections.

Recording process
The V71 sound library was originally recorded and mixed at 32-bit/192 kHz resolution in pro studios around the globe, with intensive sessions manned by leading engineers who know how to capture incredible drum sounds. A large part of the collection was recorded in direct collaboration with DW in Oxnard, California, ensuring a seamless experience between the hardware module and the DW Soundworks software instrument.

New sounds, on demand
While previous V-Drums modules offer deep editing capabilities, the onboard sound libraries are fixed and can’t be expanded. The V71 module changes all that, letting you freely change up the sound set for the first time. Open the Roland Cloud Connect app on your mobile device to access a growing range of V-Drums Instrument Expansion titles via your wireless network. Then, find the sounds you want, download them directly to the module, and start drumming immediately.

Choose your perspective
When you’re a serious drummer, your sound exists in two distinct universes. One is the intimate, up-close sound of the drums when you’re behind the kit. The second is the produced sound created for a recording or live PA, which is typically processed with EQs, compressors, and ambience. Some V-Drums Instrument Expansion titles have been specially mixed for both the drummer and producer positions, letting you create the playing experience you want at the touch of a button.

With the V71 module, you get no-compromise sound and pro audio connectivity - including multiple direct outs for individual drums - housed in a rugged command center with fast startup, an informative color display, and quick-access controls.

Computer flexibility
Every V-Drums 7 Series kit can trigger sounds in DW Soundworks (Included with Roland Cloud Ultimate membershio), a revolutionary drum software instrument that runs as a standalone computer application or a DAW plug-in. Many DW Soundworks expansions mirror V-Drums Instrument Expansion titles, allowing you to transition to software-based drumming with the identical sound and response as the module.

Expand your world
On Roland Cloud, you’ll never run out of fresh inspiration for your drumming journeys. V-Drums Instrument Expansions add all-new drum kits to the module, recorded using the same detailed process as the core library. Up to six expansions can be active at once, and you can freely exchange kicks, snares, cymbals, and other components between different kits. We also offer V-Drums Kit Packs created by top drummers and producers, which are customized kits built from the core sound library.
