8-string guitars are Tosin Abasi's primary instruments, but he's no stranger to 7-string guitars, and the idea of the Ionizer 7 came up soon after the Ionizer 8 left the drawing board. Like the Ionizer 8 Bridge Model, the Ionizer 7 Bridge Model mids are powerful and focused, and it has both power and enough headroom to clean up when the volume is rolled down.

Recommended for bridge position. 

Tech Talk
Because the typical 7-string scale length is shorter than the 8-string neck, we designed the Ionizer 7 models to have both increased treble emphasis and very smooth highs. The low end is also leaner, for clean reproduction of the 7th string.
